Car Crashes Into Local 7-11 Store

CAR CRASHES INTO LOCAL 7-11 STORE

DeLand Police and Fire responded shortly after 1 pm to the 7-Eleven at 1043 West New York Avenue after reports of a car crashing into the building. The driver  was Sanmukhlal Patel, 77, DeLand.  No one was injured in the crash. Indications are the driver may have hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and he was issued a citation for Careless Driving.

The store is temporarily closed due to the damage.
