The gunshot victim from yesterday’s apartment complex shooting has been identified as Noel Pease, 39, of Deltona. He is in stable condition.

Investigators have determined he was shot in the arm during an apparent drug deal. Police have identified a suspect and are actively searching for him.

MAN SHOT AT APPLEWOOD APARTMENTS

At 4:03 p.m. DeLand Police responded to an apparent shooting at Applewood Apartments.

A preliminary investigation found a male was shot in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The gunshot victim then tried to drive to the local hospital, but stopped at the 7-Eleven in Downtown DeLand and called for help. Police found the gunshot victim was shot in the arm and the injury is not considered life threatening. He is being transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford.

The investigation also has revealed the shooter is known to the gunshot victim and there is no apparent danger to the public.
