ARMED CARJACKING SUSPECT ARRESTED

On June 7, 2016, at approximately 1655 hours, Port Orange Police responded to the PNC Bank at 1090 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange in reference to an armed carjacking. Upon arriving on scene officers learned a white female accosted a woman in the parking lot of the Wal- Mart at 1590 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange, with a knife, as she was placing groceries in her vehicle. The suspect forced the victim into the passenger seat and proceeded to drive the victim’s vehicle to the PNC Bank where she demanded the victim’s ATM card and PIN number. While the suspect was parked and using the ATM, the victim was able to exit her vehicle, alerting the attention of bystanders who called 911. The suspect, seeing this, fled the scene on foot. A perimeter was quickly established by responding units and the suspect, identified as Catharyn Brandolini (DOB:04/14/1962), was located inside the Halifax Hospital at 1041 Dunlawton Ave. She was taken into custody without incident and is being charged with multiple felonies. The victim, who is 67 years of age, was unharmed.
