Port Orange Man Charged In Killing His Stepson

PORT ORANGE MAN CHARGED WITH KILLING HIS STEPSON

On January 23rd, 2017 at approximately 8:06 a.m., the Port Orange Police Department responded to 6509 Shahab Ln. in reference to a person shot. Randall C. Lowen (07/25/1961) was pronounced deceased at the scene due to an apparent gunshot wound. Danny E. Holder (02/14/1948) is in custody and is considered the suspect at this time. We do not believe there to be a continued threat to the public as no additional suspects are believed to be outstanding.

This tragic incident appears at this time to be domestic in nature with the victim being the step-son of the suspect. A third person was inside the home at the time of the shooting but was unhurt.
