SHERIFF CHITWOOD PROMOTES TWO TO DIVISION CHIEF, INCLUDING HIGHEST-RANKING FEMALE DEPUTY IN VCSO HISTORY

Tim Morgan and Corey Piser To Be Introduced At Monday Evening's Town Hall in Port Orange

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood will introduce two newly promoted members of his command staff – including the highest-ranking female deputy in the history of the agency – at Monday’s Town Hall meeting in Port Orange.

Capt. Tim Morgan and Lt. Corey Piser are each being promoted to the position of Division Chief, with Morgan overseeing the Law Enforcement Operations division and Piser overseeing the Support Operations division.

Morgan, 48, and Piser, 41, will be among those introduced at Monday evening’s “First 100 Days” Town Hall with Sheriff Chitwood. The public and news media are invited and encouraged to attend the event, which starts at 6 p.m. at the Spruce Creek High School Auditorium, 801 Taylor Road, Port Orange.
