LOST CHILD IN DELTONA DISCOVERED IN POOL, PRONOUNCED DEAD AT HOSPITAL

A 5-year-old boy lost his life Tuesday evening despite his family’s and first responders’ efforts to revive him after he was found in a pool in Deltona.

Deputies responded to the home on Waco Drive around 5:49 p.m. Tuesday after the boy, Treus Boone, was reported missing. Family members stated they had searched the house but couldn’t find Treus.

The first deputy to arrive heard someone yell, “He’s in the pool!” and a family member jumped into the water to pull Treus out.

Treus was given CPR on scene and then transported to the Halifax Health emergency room in Deltona, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no indications of suspicious circumstances or foul play at the scene.
