EARLY-MORNING MOTORCYCLE CRASH KILLS ONE, INJURES ANOTHER, BLOCKS TUESDAY-MORNING TRAFFIC OVER I-4 IN DELTONA

An overnight motorcycle crash claimed the life of one rider, injured another and caused a shutdown of traffic over Interstate 4 in Deltona that is expected to last through the early-morning hours.

The crash was reported at 1:37 a.m. in the area of Enterprise Road and Deltona Boulevard, where Enterprise passes over I-4. Two motorcycles were involved. One person was pronounced dead on the scene, and another was transported as a trauma alert by ambulance to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford.

Enterprise Road has been shut down in both directions from Deltona Boulevard to Highbanks Road and may remain closed for several hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area this morning if possible.

An update is anticipated later this morning with the names of the motorcyclists involved.
