SUSPECT IN DRUG-RELATED DELTONA SHOOTING ARRESTED IN ORANGE COUNTY
**UPDATE**
A 25-year-old suspect wanted in the April 12 shooting of a Deltona man has been arrested in Orange County and was extradited to Volusia County.
Henry Hill, (DOB: 3/15/93), also known as “Bubba,” was wanted by Volusia County sheriff’s detectives for questioning in the armed robbery/home invasion that occurred at 1758 Santee Ave., Deltona. Just before 9 p.m. April 12, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office (VCSO) responded to a report of a person shot. The victim was the homeowner, a man in his 20s. He was transported by ambulance to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. He underwent surgery for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Since then, detectives have been trying to determine exactly what happened; however, the incident is narcotics-related and not a random act of violence.
Hill had a Volusia County arrest warrant for home invasion robbery with a firearm and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He also has an open felony warrant for failure to appear reference possession of cannabis over 20 grams. He remains in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail.
