Autopsy Rules Out Homicide in Male Body Found in Deltona

 UPDATE: AUTOPSY SHOWS MAN’S DEATH NOT A HOMICIDE                       
 Body’s Identity Released – Foul Play Not Suspected

Sheriff’s detectives have released the identity of a man found dead Saturday in a Deltona neighborhood as Edward Lavonne Ross Sr., and homicide has been ruled out in his death.

The 49-year-old man (DOB: 02/02/1969) was found unresponsive Saturday in the 1800 block of Montecito Avenue in a Deltona neighborhood at about 2 p.m.

On Sunday, an autopsy was performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office and it was determined this death is not a homicide. The official cause of death is still pending and will be released when it becomes available.

However, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s Major Case Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the death to find out how the man got to the location where he was found.
