UPDATE:

Following a double shooting July 14, 2018, at 1471 W. Wellington Drive, Deltona, in which two people were shot and seriously injured, an arrest was made in the case early today.

Agents with the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Vandrae Wright, 28 (DOB: 7/5/90) in Apopka on two charges of attempted felony murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.   Wright was booked into the Orange County Jail without incident.

2 MEN SHOT IN DELTONA, EXPECTED TO SURVIVE

Two men were shot late Saturday as they sat on the front porch of a Deltona home with a third acquaintance. Both victims were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries but are expected to survive. 

The shootings occurred just after 11 p.m. at a home in the 1400 block of Wellington Drive, Deltona.  

One victim was flown by the Volusia County sheriff's helicopter Air One to Central Florida Regional Hospital, Sanford. The second victim was transported by ambulance to the same hospital.

Detectives have not yet been able to interview the victims to determine exactly what happened. This is a very active investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
