VCSO Deputies Arrest 6 In DeLand Prostitution Sting

5 WOMEN, 1 MAN ARRESTED IN DELAND PROSTITUTION STING

Five women and one man were arrested Saturday night during a prostitution operation in the area of South Clara and West Carroll avenues in DeLand.

The sting was prompted by a complaint to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office about prostitutes in the area. Undercover deputies from the West Volusia Crime Suppression Team and the Deltona CST launched the operation about 6 p.m. Saturday, resulting in five women arrested for solicitation to commit prostitution and one man arrested for deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution. A total of 10 misdemeanors and two felony charges were issued. The incidents were recorded using video and audio devices.

Arrested Saturday were:

-- Ellen Joyner, B/F, 36, solicitation to commit prostitution, possession of paraphernalia.

-- Ellen Joyner, B/F, 36, on-view Violation of Probation; remains in custody on no bail allowed.

--Brandi Sue Wells, W/F, 37, solicitation to commit prostitution, possession of paraphernalia; remains in custody on no bail allowed.

-- Jessica Gravell, W/F, 30, solicitation to commit prostitution, possession of paraphernalia; remains in custody on $1,000 bail.

-- Jessica Kostival, W/F, 32, solicitation to commit prostitution; released from jail.

-- Crystal Jennings, W/F, 34, solicitation to commit prostitution, possession of paraphernalia; released from jail.

-- Vincent Evans, B/M, 40, for deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution.

-- Vincent Evans, B/M, 40, open warrant for Failure To Appear ; remains in custody on $3,000 bail.
