MISSING CHILD ALERT ISSUED FOR 4-MONTH-OLD GIRL BELIEVED TAKEN BY PARENTS IN VIOLATION OF COURT ORDER

A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a baby girl whose parents have reportedly fled the area to avoid a judge’s order for the state to take custody of the child.

The child is 4-month-old Skylah Singleton. It’s believed one or both of her parents, 18-year-old Chloe Wall (DOB 7/24/2000) and 26-year-old Elliot Singleton III (DOB 6/30/1992) of Edgewater, have taken her out of the area and have been avoiding law enforcement since their release from jail earlier this week.

Edgewater police arrested Wall on drug possession charges around 2 a.m. Tuesday. Singleton was also arrested on charges of resisting without violence. At the time of the arrests, Skylah was in the vehicle with her parents where police found prescription pills and paraphernalia used to smoke crack cocaine. Wall is believed to have a history of drug abuse; Skylah tested positive for the presence of drugs in her system immediately after she was born.

After Tuesday’s arrest, officials with the state Department of Children and Families conducted an investigation and determined Skylah should be taken into DCF custody for her own safety.

The family did not cooperate with DCF, and when Wall and Singleton were released from jail later Tuesday, they left the area with Skylah.

On Thursday evening, DCF contacted the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office and filed a missing person report. The Sheriff’s Office has been working since then to locate Skylah.

Early Saturday, around 4 a.m., Chloe Wall’s mother, 41-year-old Jennifer Wall (DOB 8/21/1977) of Snow Drive in Deltona, was arrested on charges of providing false information to law enforcement during a missing child investigation and concealing a minor’s location contrary to a court order. Detectives believe she drove her daughter and granddaughter to the Orlando area and bought them supplies to take a road trip out of the state, possibly to New York.

They may be traveling in a white 2007 Cadillac DTS with New York tag FBW1838.

Anyone who has information about the wheareabouts of Skylah Singleton, Chloe Wall or Elliot Singleton is asked to call 911.

Updates to the news media on this case will be provided as they become available.
