More Drugs Seized And Arrests Made In Recent Narcotics Investigations

MORE DRUGS SEIZED AND ARRESTS MADE IN RECENT NARCOTICS INVESTIGATIONS

Detectives continued to seize significant amounts of drugs in recent raids following months-long narcotics investigations.

This morning, members of the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force and the VSO SWAT team executed a search warrant at 1603 Primo Court, Holly Hill, arresting three occupants, one of whom ran to an upstairs bathroom and tried but failed to dispose of fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Items seized from the home included:

33 grams fentanyl

1.1 gram crack cocaine

32 Alprazolam

1 Oxycodone

Kel-Tec AR-15 pistol

Glock 17 9mm handgun

100 rounds .223 ammunition

17 rounds 9mm ammunition

$1,745 cash

Narcotics paraphernalia

Arrested were:

Jalen D. Foster, 23 (DOB 11/9/1998): No bond

Armed trafficking in fentanyl

Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Possession of ammunition by a convicted felon

Possession of a Schedule II substance

Possession of a Schedule IV substance

Possession of narcotic paraphernalia

Violation of probation (aggravated assault with a deadly weapon)


Zechariah J Plowden-Daley, 25 (DOB 4/12/1996): $256,000 bond

Trafficking in fentanyl

Possession of cocaine

Possession of narcotics paraphernalia


Ebon Johnson, 26 (DOB 8/25/1995): No bond

Violation of probation (burglary of an occupied dwelling)
 

In a separate search warrant executed by the Volusia Bureau of Investigation and SWAT last week (Thursday), detectives also seized a large amount of meth, pills and cash at 360 S. Boston Ave., DeLand. That inventory included:

189 grams methamphetamine

1,112 Oxycodone pills (130g)

86 hydromorphone pills (14g)

$47,065 cash

3 cell phones

Johnny Lee Denton Jr., 58 (DOB: 2/16/1963), was arrested on a variety of charges including trafficking and sale of methamphetamine, Oxycodone and Hydromorphone and use of a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony. He was booked at the Volusia County Branch Jail with a total bond of $1,080,000 and remains in custody as of this writing.

Denton’s arrest last week came the day after a raid at an apartment across from DeLand Middle School resulted in the recovery of a large amount of drugs and several guns in a home where several children lived.
