SANFORD DRUG DEALER CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER IN DELTONA OVERDOSE DEATH

Dwight "DD" Oliver, 50, Sanford, has been charged with manslaughter in the December 2023 overdose death of a 33-year-old Deltona man.

On Tuesday, VSO detectives obtained a manslaughter warrant for Oliver, who has been in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail since December on numerous drug charges stemming from the investigation.

During the investigation, detectives identified Oliver as the deceased victim's drug dealer. Detectives recovered fentanyl, MDMA, cocaine, and bath salts during execution of a residential search warrant at the time of Oliver's initial arrest.

From Sheriff Mike Chitwood: Thank you Overdose Task Force detectives, Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team members, and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office for the fantastic coordination on this case.

Already held without bond, Oliver's additional bond on the new manslaughter charge is $1 million.
