ARSON CAUGHT ON CAMERA IN DEBARY NEIGHBORHOOD

An arson investigation is underway after a suspect was caught on video starting one of several vehicle fires in DeBary.

Early Friday, deputies and Orange City firefighters responded to multiple vehicle fires at neighboring homes on Oak Springs Court. A total of three vehicles were on fire when units arrived around 4:45 a.m.

Surveillance video captured an individual lighting and throwing what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail, setting an SUV on fire as it sat in a victim’s driveway.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The fire marshal was notified and responded to the scene to investigate.
