A subject of a narcotics investigation fled recklessly from VSO detectives Tuesday during an undercover operation in Deltona, but was arrested later in the Port Orange area after she crashed into a telephone pole.

Tynicia Blanco, 26 (DOB 8/26/1997), Altamonte Springs, fled from detectives who approached her vehicle at 410 Deltona Blvd.

Deputies and detectives maintained a visual as Blanco fled recklessly to I-4 and then onto SR 415, weaving in and out of traffic. She ultimately lost control and crashed into a telephone pole at 415 (Tomoka Farms Road) and Avocado Drive, then bailed out and ran into a nearby wooded area, where she was taken into custody soon after.

Blanco was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash, then transported to another hospital in Alachua County for further treatment.

Upon her release from medical care, she is facing charges of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, conspiracy to traffic fentanyl and methamphetamine, unlawful use of a 2-way communication device, and possession of Oxycodone pills and less than 20g marijuana.

Following the crash, a search warrant was obtained for Blanco’s residence in Seminole County. Seminole County Sheriff's Office detectives recovered 65g fentanyl, 236g methamphetamine, an AK-47 and a handgun during execution of the search warrant.

A passenger who was also injured in the crash is not facing any criminal charges.
