Robber Struck Clerk in Leg With Gun Before Fleeing

Detectives are investigating a weekend armed robbery at the Circle K gas station in DeBary in which a male suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money, struck the male clerk in the leg with the gun, then fled with an undetermined amount of money.

The robbery occurred Saturday just after 4 a.m. at the store, 312 Dirksen Drive. A medium-built male suspect, whose face and head were covered, entered the store. The robber showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money.

The victim emptied the register and handed the money to the suspect. The suspect then struck the clerk with the gun before fleeing the store on foot.
