V1 recently drove down from Michigan unannounced to visit his son, N1. V1 went out for a walk and was found deceased in a drainage ditch at the location above in Lake Helen.

N1 heard someone was found lying deceased in the ditch and went to see if it was V1. N1 confirmed V1 was his father in the ditch. The male was found with a gunshot wound to his head and a handgun was found nearby in the ditch. Preliminary indications are that the death was self-inflicted.

N1 also advised the Marion County Sheriff's Office found V1 a few days ago and V1 was confused. N1 picked up V1 to bring to his home in Lake Helen. CID was notified and responded to the scene.

V1 is the mother of S1, a juvenile, and both reside together as a family unit. S1 and V1 got into a verbal altercation which turned physical when S1 shoved V1 after she was trying to calm him down.

S1 took off prior to LEO arrival and attempts to locate S1 were unsuccessful. S1 is also on probation. Director Quann was notified.

V1 and D1 were traveling eastbound on SR-40 and got into a verbal argument. D1 pulled over and V1 attempted to remove the keys to the vehicle.

D1 began striking V1 to prevent him from taking the keys. V1 sustained several scratches on his neck, face and arms.

V1 stated he defended himself and bit D1's finger while she was striking him. Their three children were in the vehicle but did not see the altercation, only heard it.

D1 was arrested for simple battery-DV. Director Quann and DCF were notified of the incident.

D1 refused to talk to deputies and became uncooperative. It was determined D1 was the primary aggressor, and he was arrested for Simple Battery.

V1 and D1 were inside a vehicle and got into an argument over finances.

D1 became irate with V1 and threw a beer on D1 as he was driving. During the investigation, D1 admitted she threw the beer at V1.

D1 was subsequently arrested for battery and was transported to VCBJ.

D1 was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to have a suspended license. D1 was asked if he had a medical marijuana card or hemp due to the smell of burnt cannabis inside the vehicle.

D1 advised he had neither and was asked to exit the vehicle. While conducting a search of the vehicle, 1,500 grams of edible THC gummies, an abundance of THC vape pens along with cartridges, hallucinogenic mushrooms, cannabis oils, and cocaine were located inside the vehicle.

D1 was arrested and transported to VCBJ.
