Call Types and Signals

Car Accident Scene

Effective 6/1/07, Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, in accordance with Homeland Security requirements, began the transition to “plain speak” by no longer using 10-codes or Signals.

When Telecommunicators dispatch calls, they will utilize both the signal and the plain speak version so there is no confusion for any units responding.
