V1 was scammed out of several thousand dollars in Bitcoin transactions under false pretenses that her cellphone applications were leaking her information.

V1 withdrew the money and deposited it into a Bitcoin machine as directed. Sgt. Elmazi / Fraud Unit was notified.

**Juvenile**

Two students communicated with each other on the bus ride home from Burns K-12. S1 was annoyed with kids screaming on the bus and verbally told S2 not to come to school Friday.

S2 responded saying he would be hiding in the bathroom. No threat of violence was made at this time. Contact was made with S1 and S2 to get the exact context of the statement. A threat assessment will be completed by the school principal. Chain of command was notified.

V1 and V2 both advised between 03/18/2024 and today, an unknown person accessed their banking information and made multiple transfers from their savings account and deposited it into their business account.

The money was then transferred to another account under the name of someone unknown to V1 and V2.  V1 and V2 want to pursue charges. Case is active.

D1 fled from Deputy Rivera on S.R. 44 westbound, but remained at or near the speed limit and was able to be kept in sight from an increasing distance. 

Districts 2 and 4, and Lake Helen PD responded to the area of 44/ I-4 to assist.  Lake Helen PD successfully deployed stop sticks, flattening the vehicle’s front two tires.  D1 was taken into custody and charged with fleeing/eluding.
